(RADIATOR) Diameter

We are about to purchase a telephone company "softswitch."  It appears that 
Diameter is the up-and-coming protocol for AAA services in the SIP and 
softswitch world.

I saw some brief discussions of Diameter on the mailing lists, but no 
definite interest.  Is there any current thought towards implementing this 
standard?
