Hello All,

We are pleased to announce that Radiator now supports IPv6 address
allocation and prefix delegation via new module AddressAllocator DHCPv6.

AddressAllocator DHCPv6 works in conjunction with AuthBy DYNADDRESS and
a DHCPv6 server to dynamically allocate IPv6 addresses and prefixes, and
to request other configuration information. Both stateless and stateful
DHCPv6 configuration is supported.

The information returned from DHCPv6 can be replied back to the
requesting RADIUS client with standard or vendor specific RADIUS
attributes such as Delegated-IPv6-Prefix, Framed-IPv6-Prefix and
Framed-IPv6-Address.

Other features include support for Rapid Commit option and automatic
handling of statically assigned IPv6 addresses and prefixes. If the
RADIUS reply already includes an address or a prefix or both, this
information is not requested from DHCPv6, allowing Radiator to fetch the
remaining information with a stateful or stateless DHCPv6 query.

Support for AddressAllocator DHCPv6, along with sample configurations
and testing guidelines are available in the latest Radiator patch set
for Radiator 4.15.

Support for IPv6 address allocation and prefix delegation using SQL and
other backends will be available later.

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments!

Thanks,
Heikki
