Hmm...

Well, just as a point of related interest, FreeRADIUS had an issue
where the MPPE key was incorrectly calculated for TLS 1.2:

FreeRADIUS 2.2.6 and 3.0.7 don't work with iOS 9 unless TLS 1.2 is
disabled server side.

Any users of 2.2.6 and 3.0.7 should consider upgrading if they're
using TLS-based EAP types. This affects Eduroam etc.

(FreeRADIUS 2.2.7 and 3.0.8, and later work without issue.)
