[RADIATOR] RSAAM 7.1 using ACE

You don't necessarily have to install the agent. If you have access to the
ACE Authentication API you can just follow the instructions for installing
the supporting files. You still have to create the RADIUS host in the 7.1
Security console.

Thanks Grant.

I actually was following the implementation guide you recommended and it
instructed to copy the sdconf.rec file from the RSA Server to
C:\Windows\System32 on the Radiator host. While I did that, I did not
realize I had to install the RSA Agent software as well.

Just a couple of follow ups relating to PERL (i think) ...

1) How do I run a specific .cfg file (other than the default)

2) How do I get the Radiator web GUI to load?

Thanks again

Steve

Steve,
You might want to start with the RSA Secured Implementation Guide for
configuring RSA AM 7.1 with Radiators 'AuthBy ACE' handler, it's available
here: https://gallery.emc.com/docs/DOC-1385?viewTab=collateral
<https://gallery.emc.com/docs/DOC-1385?viewTab=collateral&version=6>
&version=6

The error you are getting relating to ACECLNT.dll suggests that you haven't
installed the RSA Authentication Agent software on your server that is
running Radiator. You can download this from RSA here:
http://www.rsa.com/node.aspx?id=1175

As you're using RSA AM 7.1 I'd recommend looking at using the 'AuthBy RSAAM'
handler instead, guide available here
https://gallery.emc.com/docs/DOC-1386?viewTab=collateral
<https://gallery.emc.com/docs/DOC-1386?viewTab=collateral&version=10>
&version=10

I hope that helps.

Regards,

Good Day,
I am trying to get Radiator to authenticate against RSA AM 7.1 using the ACE
authentication module. I have never used PERL before so this is all quite
foreign to me.

I did install Radiator (on a Windows 2003 server) and was able to use
radpwtest to confirm that basic authentication worked (using the radius.cfg
file).

However, this is where I am stuck.

How do I run radius using the ace.cfg file - i tried
perl c:\perl\bin\radiusd - config_file ace.cfg

but get this error:

Could not read config file 'ace.cfg': No such file or directory at (eval 8)
line
 176, <_> line 575.
        ...caught at c:\perl\bin\radiusd line 2, <_> line 575.

I then tried copying ace.cfg into C:\Program Files\Radiator and changed the
filename to radius.cfg.

Now when i run
perl c:\perl\bin\radiusd
I get the following error:

The application has failed to start because ACECLNT.dll was not found.

I am lost at this point.

Also, how do i get the web-based GUI to load?

Thank you very much in advance.

Steve
