(RADIATOR) Empty string attribute ... and some extra VSAs

I was recently upgrading some servers from version 3.6 and came across with
this error.

"Empty string attribute xxx wil be ignored"

The problem is that i really want to reply to my NAS an empty attribute.
The solutions was simple, just comment out 2 lines in Radius.pm.
My question is why was this introduce ?

PS: In attach will send a dictionary section for some VSA  from RFC 4679.
The last attribute is supposed to be sent empty. Radiator will refuses to
proxy this attribute.
