Hello All,
This is a call for Beta testers for our new Radar product.
Radar is a real time inreractive GUI for remotely monitoring multiple
Radiator servers. In summary, the features are:
Runs on Unix and Windows
Perl TK GUI (requires Tk 800.023)
Monitor any number of Radiators.
Visual indication of the state of each server.
Notification of server failures and problems by email, run external program,
popups etc.
Drill into, view and modify the running configuration of each Radiator.
Real time log viewer for each Radiator, allows you to monitor error, debug
messages etc at run time, change the log level etc.
Real time plotter allows you to plot multiple statistics from each Radiator,
or from each internal object (eg can individually plot stats for each Client,
Realm, AuthBy etc)
This is actually a beta test of Radar _and_ Radiator 3.0 (3.0 includes many
internal architectural changes to support Radar and other features.) Beta
testers will be granted the right to run the Radar beta for as long as their
Radiator license is valid.
Beta testers will be required to:
1. Install Radiator 3.0 beta. This is a beta version with many internal
modifications, but no configuration file changes. Should not be run in a
production environment without testing.
2. Install perl Tk version 800.023
3. Try out Radiator 3.0 and Radar
4. Within 1 week, respond to use with feedback, and report any problems and
suggestions to us. (there will be a Radar mailing list to support discussion)
If you are unable to do all of these, please dont apply for the beta test.
If you are still willing to go ahead, please apply direct to me at
mikem at open.com.au
Cheers.
