MessageHi Julia,

This is from a mail I sent to the list based on my own "experience"

============================================================
The following info is just in case anyone else has trouble with installing DBI/DBD-Oracle
on Redhat Linux 7.2 .
Note that you must use the "static linking" option to install DBD-Oracle or else, you won't
be able to get radiator to authenticate via the module against an Oracle DB.
You will see a reference to the errors that you get (after using the default dynamic linking
option in the Readme.help file that comes with the DBD-Oracle-1.12.tar.gz file) and how to
do the static linking under the "For platforms which require static linking."
section.
======================================================
"The same would probably apply to the DBD::Sybase module"

Regards,
Tunde Itayemi.

  Subject: (RADIATOR) Radiator & Rodopi

  I've installed Radiator on a Linux server running Redhat 7.1; I will be using Radiator with the Rodopi software. We have MS SQL server 2000 Enterprise Edition.

  In your site's FAQ's it reads:
    Linux only: Use the free Sybase driver here, and use DBD-Sybase. Or (preferred) install Adaptive Server Enterprise then install the DBD-Sybase RPM. Works fine for MS-SQL 6.5. To work with MS-SQL 7, you will need some patches from Microsoft to permit MS-SQL 7 to work with Sybase client libraries.
  The "here" link does not work; nonetheless, I found the driver and installed it on /usr/local/sybase. Moving forward, what exactly does "use DBD-Sybase" mean?
  Are you saying I should install the DBD::Sybase module?

  I tried starting the Radiator server with the sample config file provided. It starts successfully.
  Then I tried with the Rodopi configuration file and get these errors on the logfile:

  Thu Apr 11 10:24:04 2002: ERR: Could not load AuthBy module Radius::AuthRODOPI: Can't locate load

  DBI.pm is installed in
  /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/DBI-1.21/lib/Bundle/DBI.pm
  /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/DBI-1.21/DBI.pm

  How do I add that path to what @INC contains?

  Thank you,
