And as none of these have provided me with a solid answer to my question, I am left with two options.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Burt, before I do so, I hope that anyone here might already have done the hard work and can give me some advice.<br>

So, on to the matter at hand….<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">With the upcoming EOL of RedHat 6, we are working on getting our servers up-to-date and running on RHEL 8 (if possible) within the next few months.<br>
And our radius servers are a (small) part of this larger operation.<br>
Coming from RedHat 6, init.d services, Radiator 4.18 and a config still largely based on best practices from years back, I thought it wise to start from scratch.<br>
And it is actually quite easy to redesign your config when you have some years of experience; just reading the manual thoroughly gets you a long way.<br>

That is, until I started the service - using system this time around - which failed; as it turned out, the perl Net::LDAP module was missing.<br>
Being used to a long list of commands when building from source, the RPM install was quick and easy, albeit not all-encompassing ……<br>
<br>
So, now I have to install the Net::LDAP perl module, among others, but there seems not yet to be any consensus as how to do this best.<br>
As I see it, I can either use the epel repository and install the modules from there, or I can install themn through CPAN.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
