Hello Matthew -
It isn't really a replacement, as you can use it in addition to proxy -

I personally tend to favour proxy -> multiple instances to keep things
neat and tidy and compartmentalised.
Note the correct parameter is "FarmSize n" - see section 5.4.39 in the
Radiator 4.4 reference manual ("doc/ref.pdf").

Have you searched the mailing list archive (www.open.com.au/archives/radiator)?
Have you had a quick look on Google (www.google.com)?
Have you included a copy of your configuration file (no secrets),
together with a trace 4 debug showing what is happening?
