(RADIATOR) Storing an arbitrary string

Hi Folks,

This may seem like a dumb question but I am sure there is a better way to do
it.

I would like to store a string into an accounting record.

Currently I do it like so (don't laugh, it works)...

AcctColumnDef  STATE,TimeStamp,formatted-date,'NSW'

Stop laughing!!

Is there another way to acheive this??
