(RADIATOR) Usering the %u in PreAuth/PostAuth Hook

I am using Prefix in a Handler to select a particular user type.
The problem I have is that the Prefix function is stripping the Prefix and
rewriting the User-Name attribute.

I need to use the full unstripped username in a PreAuth/PostAuth Hook. Is it
possible to obtain %u or equivalent in these Hooks ?
