(RADIATOR) postcard from Doha, Qatar

Hello everyone -

Well - here I am the Persian Gulf - in the lovely city of Doha in Qatar.

This is a very pleasant spot I must say - warm and sunny every day -
with warm and friendly people as well.

As it happens the World Trade Organisation is holding one of its
meetings here this weekend, so things are probably not quite normal.
Because Doha is quite a small place, the government has had to
commandeer all of the hotels (and some private accomodation as well)
to house all of the delegates and associated hangers on. This has
meant that I have had to give up my hotel room and find alternative
lodging in a private guest house - but its all an adventure isn't it?

Travel has certainly slowed down the last couple of months (no
surprise really) but this trip to the gulf is my first to the region
and I am enjoying it a lot.

Its quite remarkable how widely used Radiator is, and what
interesting projects I get involved in as a result. I haven't counted
recently, but we must have customers in most parts of the world by
now, which is most gratifying.

I should be back home on Monday, so if anyone has outstanding issues
that I have missed over the last couple of weeks, please repost them
then.

Best regards

Hugh
